The much awaited rainy season finally came. After two months, i think, of no rain… the skies are now giving more than what I expect to see. Correct me if I’m wrong, but rains should come during the months of June/July. But because of El Nino, the two past months had been totally dry. The authority resorted to cloud seeding attempting to supply the needed water in the greater part of the country. Soon, we will see the water-supply-cut-off scare disappear, that is if the rains will continue. Two days of continuous rain (that is as of today) is not enough to have the dam’s water level to be stable, we’ll see in the coming days…
This is a good thing for the water supply but not for me. See, I’m a commuter. As much as I wanted the classes to be canceled during days of heavy rain, the university isn’t really that lenient when it comes to suspension of classes. Worse, students are already in school before they announce the cancellation. Another thing is, my laboratory class already started dissecting cats. My partner and I alternately bring the cat home. It will surely be hard for us to carry that long cat-bag in the rain. More than being cautious of the formalin from the cat leaking, we have to make sure it wont get wet. Everyday, I have to pass one of the most frequently flooded roads in Metro Manila (Espana). I just hope I won’t be walking along a knee-high-flooded-with-yucky-murky-garbage-infested-water.
that’s it for now…
